Swiss Air 111 Crash

~ Introduction~
Swiss Air Flight 111 departing from New York JFK, crashed inside Atlantic Canada. The plane was a famous McDonnell Douglas 11 ( MD-11 ) It crashed right on Peggy's Cove at night. While the Swiss Air was contacting with Moncton Airport Air Traffic Control ( YQM ), a rapid fire broke free. As toxic smoke filled the MD-11, the plane fell into steep dive and slammed into the ocean by Peggy's Cove.

The crash was September 2, 1998 at night.

#2- Where was the crash?
The crash was located at Peggy's Cove, New Brunswick.

#3- Why did it happen?
A rapid fire grew when the flight was cruising over Atlantic Canada.

#4- How did this crash affect Atlantic Canada?
Well, economicially, the crash let Atlantc Canada recieve rescue worker job oppurtunitys. Also, different search/recuse vessels came to the scene.

The Swiss Air 111 flight was with a McDonell Douglas 11 (MD-11), A 3 engine equiped, wide-body aircraft.

#6- How many fatlities were there?
There were 229 (all) fatalities.

#7- How many survivors were there?
There were no survivorss, as the plane was exploded into millions of pieces.

#8- Was the crash preventable?
As I am not a TSB (Transportation Saftey Bureau) investigator, I cannot confirm wheher or not the crash was perventable. I do know that there are different theorys and cause that have been said, blaming different aspects.
